Happy 3rd Birthday Carson!!!

My little snuggle bug turned 3 today! When he woke up this morning, he came walking out of his room and our conversation went something like this:
Me: "Happy Birthday Carson! You're 3 today!"
Carson: "No, I'm not 3! I'm just 2 cause I'm still little."
Me: "No, it's your birthday today, remember, and you're 3 today. Yea!"
Carson: "No, I'm not 3 cause I'm still little. I just want to be 2."
Me: "Carson, you can still be mommy's little boy even if you're 3 years old!"

Poor little guy. I think he was a little groggy still, but I felt bad that he thought he had to be all grown-up and big just because he was turning 3. Later on in the day he finally was able to turn off the water in the bathroom by himself. He was so proud of himself and came running out to tell me. I said, see, you ARE big now, cause you're 3! Then he decided it was okay to be 3.

Here are a few of the things we love about Carson: He is the best little snuggler, which is why we call him our snuggle bug. He has the cutest "scowly face" which has become his trademark face- its very easy to catch on camera. He is very generous and thoughtful- he decided he wanted to share the remainder of his birthday cake and ice cream with our neighbors down the road. So, we put the last 2 pieces of cake in a bowl, scooped some ice cream, and away we went.

We love you Carson! Thanks for being our little boy!

Giddy Up

We had our friends (the Lemon Family) over yesterday afternoon. We saddled up the horses so all the kids could ride, and they had a great time!

My Amazing Sister

I have an amazing little sister. Kiana has been serving as the State Idaho FFA Treasurer this past year, while attending school full-time at CSI. This past weekend we were able to attend her convention where she gave her retiring address entitled "I Wanna Live." She did an amazing job, and we are so proud of her and all her accomplishments. We feel very blessed to have her live so close to us and be honored with her frequent visits. Lainee often times prefers Kiana over me when she is here, and Cooper and Carson adore her. They are, afterall, her two main squeezes (wink, wink :) We love you Kiana!

Conference Sunday

This past Sunday was not only Easter Sunday, but for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it was also General Conference weekend. This means that instead of going to church like we usually do on Sunday, we get to stay home and watch our prophet and President of the Church (President Thomas S. Monson) along with other leaders of our church, address us via the television. I've always enjoyed General Conference. It is a wonderful time to reflect on my life and evaluate what I am doing well, and what areas I need to improve on.

Here is a picture I snapped during the Sunday afternoon session. Carson had fallen asleep on Randall's lap, and Cooper and Lainee had snuggled up with their Daddy as well. So cute!!!

Happy Easter!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter Sunday and post a few cute pictures of my kids in their new Easter outfits. They received them a week early so they could wear them to church last Sunday, since we didn't have church today due to General Conference. I think they look so cute!

These pics are Lainee's one-year pics--- but she's actually 13 months. I was a little slow getting them done :)

Here are a few photos from our local Easter Egg Hunt yesterday. It was a bit chilly, but thankfully, we didn't have snow :)
