The water level in the surrounding rivers has been extremely high this year. Randall had a few free hours, so we ventured over to Shoshone Falls near Twin Falls. My sister Kiana and her new hubby Spence went with us. With the water level so high, the falls were absolutely amazing! They are calling it "The Niagara of the West."

Pretty Toes
Lainee is such a girly-girl. The other day I was cleaning up the bathroom and she saw the finger nail polish. Before she could paint herself, I told her I would help her paint her toes. She insisted on bright pink, to match the bright pink shirt she had on that day.
Of course she insisted her finger nails be painted as well. I chose a much lighter pink for her finger nails, because she was getting a little restless.
Then Lainee insisted that I paint Ashlin's toe nails as well. Note: It's very difficult to paint an infant's toe nails while she's awake!
Yep, my girls are pretty cute!
And just to prove that Lainee really does have Randall wrapped around her finger, she even talked Randall into painting her toe nails the other day, because the polish was "coming off."
And this will make you laugh- Lainee wanted to go outside and play in the dirt with the boys, so I was trying to help her put her tennis shoes on. This is what Lainee said: "No mommy! I need to wear my sandals so you can see my pretty toes!"

Service Project
A few weeks ago a boy scout in our area decided to spruce up the cemetary for his eagle project. There was a new section of the cemetary that didn't have any grass yet. So, with the help of many members of the community, they put in new sprinkler pipe and layed some sod. Randall, Cooper and Carson had a great time helping!

Cooper hitched a ride with our neighbor Adam
And not to be outdone, Carson asked for a ride as well.

Cooper's last day of Kindergarten
Last Friday, May 27th, was Cooper's last day of Kindergarten. I had to take a picture, just to compare his last day with his first day. It's fun to see how much he has changed.
Since Cooper started Kindergarten he has:
Learned how to tie his shoes
Learned how to ride his bike without training wheels
Lost 3 teeth (2 on bottom, one on top)
Learned how to read (very well I might add!)
Improved his writing abilities considerably (he loves to write notes to people!)

Field Trip to Zoo Boise
Last week Cooper's kindergarten class was invited to go on a field trip to Zoo Boise along with the 5th and 6th graders. Parents and siblings were also invited, so I took Carson, Lainee and Ashlin and we met the bus at the zoo.
The weather was cool, but nice (until we got home-later in the evening our tree blew down!)and we all had an enjoyable day.

Happy 6th Birthday, Cooper!
Aaahhhh! I can't believe I have a 6 year old! Where does the time go? Yesterday was Cooper's birthday. He started off the day with a piano lesson. Certainly not his choice, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do! After piano we got to work on his birthday cake- a back hoe/loader cake.
Randall took half the day off of work so we could go fishing. For weeks now Cooper has been asking if we could go fishing for his birthday. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate very well and it was horribly windy. We didn't catch anything, but we had fun anyway.
Randall had to drop off his company pickup at the dealership to get worked on, so we decided we'd go out to eat for a birthday dinner at Wingers. We had a fabulous waitress and she made the evening really fun for Cooper. She brought each of the kids a helium balloon and all the waitresses came and sang happy birthday complete with a family-sized serving of ice cream cake. Yum!

Cooper was a bit jealous of Carson's basketball, so we decided Cooper needed his own (actually- I bought them at the same time, Cooper just had to wait a month longer than Carson :)Opening another present - a fishing tackle box to go fishing!
Try to ignore the drool on the pillow, but I just had to take a picture of this. He took his new basketball to bed and was sleeping with it. It looks like he has a pregnant belly!

And look! Ashlin and I were there, too!
Terrible picture, but here we are together at Wingers
