Simplot's Toilet bowl racer. Basically, they put a toilet on wheels, have someone sit on it, and race them around the block. Hilarious and very red neck! But, we (as in Simplot) did win!

Last weekend was Grand View Days, and we had a great time attending the events. Randall and I put a softball team together. We were known as the Simplot team. It was kind of last minute and we had to scramble for enough players, but we still had fun and ended up coming in 4th place (Randall would rather I left out that there were only 7 teams.) Kiana came over to visit for the weekend, and we had to talk her into playing with us, because we didn't have enough girls. We played one softball game Friday night and won. Then we watched the fireworks with the kids at dark.
Snuggling up with Dad to watch the fireworks!
Ooooh, ahhh!
Saturday morning we had another game at 7 am. Ugh! I told Sarah Hall (who was in charge of the tournament) that she wasn't supposed to punish the winners. At least it wasn't hot yet, though!
We played a really good team and the result was not pretty for us. We lost. Real bad. We played our next game at 9:00 and it was interrupted part way through due to the apache helicopter landing on the field. A guy who used to live in our ward (George Johnson) was one of the pilots. So we watched the parade with the kids and resumed our game after lunch. We ended up winning that game, despite losing a player over the break due to a mud volleyball tournament and being down by 4 runs when we resumed the game. We had a short break and then played our next game at 3:00, which we lost. By then it was really hot outside and we were all tired. I don't think any of us were that disappointed to lose. Had we won we would have had to play 2 more games without any breaks. Yuck!

Our friends, Darrel and Heather Lemon took our kids back to their house to play while we played our last softball game. The kids enjoyed being able to play with other kids in the cool shade rather than sit on a hot dugout bench watching us play ball.
After picking up the kids we took them back to ride a few carnival rides before heading home. They loved the rides. I just love the look on their faces! All in all it was a great weekend!
