So long, farewell

Cooper has been having a rough time with the whole idea of moving. I've been trying to prep him by explaining that we are moving to a new house, we're going to load up all our things in a big truck and drive a long ways to our new house, we won't see our friends as often, but we'll make new friends and we'll all be together as a family so everything will be ok.....

Still... it's been rough. As I've watched him say goodbye to friends I've been moved to tears more than once. We've all been teary eyed as we've packed up our things and said goodbye.

Theses pictures just about break my heart... Cooper saying goodbye to his good friend Porter H.

Snow Day in Star Valley, Wyoming

OK- so a "snow day" in Star Valley might be a bit redundant. It seems like for 8 months out of the year, every day is a snow day!

Randall's brother Kade came over for President's Day weekend to hang out with us. Randall, Cooper, and Kade had a blast sledding down the hill (actually- it's our neighbor's road!). We're really going to miss this beautiful area when we move to Grand View.

Bath time!

Cooper and Carson love taking their baths together. They have great fun splashing each other and shooting hoops (they have a small basketball hoop in the bath tub). I think this picture of them is so cute!

Rexburg Temple

I arranged for the youth in our ward to attend the Rexburg Temple Open House. We had about 75 people in our group, and I was able to take our family- Randall, Cooper, Carson and I had a very enjoyable time. Cooper loved the "big lights" (aka chandeliers). He thought it was super cool that he was able to go inside and see everything. Most of you know that Cooper's favorite song is "I Love to See the Temple," so this brought a whole new meaning to the song for him.

A New Beginning

So, this is the beginning of our family blog. I thought it only fitting to start it up as we enter a new chapter of our lives. Randall is starting a new job as a veterinarian for Simplot Land & Livestock. He will start March 3, 2008. This takes our family from our beautiful home in Star Valley, Wyoming to Grandview, Idaho. If you don't know where that is, don't worry- neither did I (and I'm from Idaho!). It's pretty much in the middle of nowhere!

This move has been rather difficult for Randall and I (all right- it pretty much broke my heart!), but, I'm doing my best to put on a happy face and look forward to new adventures, thus the title of our blog.

I'll do my best to keep you all informed of what's going on in our lives!
