My Budding Artist

Last fall our elementary students competed in the Reflections art contest. They are given a theme and are judged by how well their drawing depicts the theme in addition to their artistic abilities. The theme for this year was "Diversity Means..." Cooper's drawing was selected for his age group (1st and 2nd graders) and went on to compete on the state level. After his art work was returned to the elementary school last month, he was recognized in their school assembly and his art work was put on display in the hallway of the elementary school.
